HOTELS + BACKPACKERS
BEACHY & PEACHY
Treat yourself to the dream festival pre-game and keep the distance between you and Spilt Milk (plus, you and the beach) at a minimum. If this sounds like your kind of vibe, you’re gonna wanna check out either the Ocean Beach or Cottesloe Beach Hotel. Situated on the same stretch of pristine sand, both offer instant access to Indian Ocean swims and almost-instant Uber/taxi to and from Spilt Milk. If your driver lets you connect, and we hate it when they don’t, you might get two songs in on the ride to and from (if they’re short songs).
BUDGET
Balling on a budget? Being the beautiful beach destination it is, Perth has an extensive array of backpacker-approved accom options. By far the weirdest (and by far our favourite) of these has to be Fremantle Prison YHA where you can book yourself into an actual prison cell. If that’s likely to wig you out, they also have a more conventional mix of private and shared rooms. For those that want to stay in the CBD, we also recommend Spinners Hostel and Quokka Backpackers for both good names and good vibes.
APARTMENT LIFE
After the festival, it’s the afterparty, and there’s nothing better than reliving the big day’s best bits with your nearest and dearest. For shared accomm that won’t break the bank, check out the following apartment options:

From boutique shopping on your doorstep to luxe in-house bars and dining, a stay at The Adnate would make your Spilt Milk weekend even sweeter. We’ve also got a lot of love for QT Perth, which is another 10/10 from us. Think rich textures, decadent details and the comfiest beds you could ever sink into after a day on your dancing feet at a festival. It’s a mood.
