Need a bit of help working out your best travel options for Spilt Milk? We’ve got the know-how on getting to The Gold Coast.
FROM BRISBANE
DRIVING
Brisbane is a short 1hr drive away. Due to limited parking, we highly recommend you make a weekend of it, book some accommodation, and use the bus services available to access the festival.
BUS
MOTM will have buses to get you to Gold Coast and back on event day. Your ticket guarantees a return seat and takes the stress out of trying to get home at the end of the night. Please book your buses in advance!
TRAIN
Take a look at Translink to plan your trip from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, it takes approximately 2 hours.
INTERSTATE
DRIVING
Sydney is 847km from the Gold Coast, and if you’re planning on a road trip, it’ll take you a solid nine hours via the Pacific Highway. Add some extra time to grab some food or break up the epic journey and stop an extra night or two.
If you’re from Melbourne and fancy an ultra marathon-style 17-hour roadie, we salute you. If it was us, we’d just go to Spilt Milk Geelong.

FLYING
Gold Coast Airport is pretty well connected to the rest of Aus with regular flights on Virgin, Qantas and Jetstar. From the airport, the best way to the city is to book an airport shuttle bus with Con-x-ion Airport shuttle. If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option, check out the City of Gold Coast public transport. All in all, a pretty sweet deal.
