Beware of the Scalpers

03 Jul 18

Real talk, Viagogo is an oh-no-no. Although it may look legit and the technology seems sophisticated, Viagogo is NOT an official ticket seller. Never has been, and never will be. Don’t be fooled by the Google ads.

Viagogo sells two different types of illegitimate tickets:

  • Fake tickets
  • Legit tickets that have been sold to multiple people, with no way of knowing how many times it has been sold.

The Spilt Milk ticketing team cannot and will not accept tickets purchased on Viagogo (or any third-party ticket seller). Viagogo also sells the tickets at extremely inflated prices, in different currencies with booking fees that are often hundreds of dollars.

Viagogo isn’t the only culprit, with other sites including Queen of Tickets, eBay, Gumtree and even a few bad eggs on Facebook. Please be aware there are professional scammers known to the police operating on Facebook using fake profiles and targeting Spilt Milk fans.

Moshtix is the only ticket outlet to buy legitimate Spilt Milk tickets, if you purchase tickets from anywhere else you risk being turned away on the day. You can report scalpers to Moshtix here

There will be an official resale for Spilt Milk 2018. This is free to anyone who wishes to resell their ticket and a chance for those who missed out to buy a legitimate one. More info on the resale can be found here.
