PITCH A TENT

RENT-A-TENT AT VIC PARK

Want to rock up to a tent pitched for you next door to Spilt Milk? They’ll have a tent set up for you for the weekend and you can even book in bedding, lights and extras so you won’t have to haul it in with you.

There’s a free shuttle bus for campers that will run from the train station, through town and out to the campsite from Friday though to Sunday as well.

BYO TENT

If you’ve got your own tent set up, you can grab a site at Eureka Stockade, BIG4 Goldfields or BIG4 Windmill in Ballarat. They’ve also got cabins and a bunch of other accommodation options to scout.

#UNILIVING

Federation Uni has opened their doors for Spilt Milk and they have your entire squad covered. They have single rooms available or you can book out a whole unit of 10 rooms for the crew, cheap as chips! It’ll set you back $150 for the weekend. Check out their dedicated Spilt Milk offers here.

BUNK UP

The Western Hotel is your best bet for budget backpacker accommodation. It’s a 15-minute walk from Ballarat CBD and a 20 minute walk to Victoria Park.

The Eastern Hotel Accommodation is a good budget option on the far side of the CBD. It’s a little further to Spilt Milk, but super close to public transport which can take you straight to Victoria Park.

APARTMENT LIFE

If you’re looking to throw in with your mates, here are the best apartment options in Ballarat. Most of these are one- and two-bedroom apartments in the CBD, around a 9-minute bus trip to the entrance of Spilt Milk in Victoria Park.

CRESWICK

Creswick is just a 20min drive north from Ballarat and Melbourne on The Move are running special Spilt Milk return busses! They’ll pick you up from Creswick and take you direct to the festival and back at the end of the night. You can read more about the service HERE. It’s also on the train line, just 3 stops from Ballarat.

AIRBNB

Keen for something a bit homier? Check into one of Ballarat’s Airbnb spots or why not take a breather in Daylesford and let Melbourne on the Move take care of the transfers? They’ll pick you up and deliver you straight to the front gates of Spilt Milk & back at the end of the night!

SOMETHING ELSE

If you wanted to treat yourself to a boutique hotel, you can book a room at the luxurious Provincial Hotel. For a more antique lux feel, Craig’s Hotel is the oldest hotel in Ballarat and boasts 5 stars.

You can even spend a weekend at the hotel, motel Quality Inn (on Lydiard). Or why not stay in a Castle?
