Want to rock up to a tent pitched for you next door to Spilt Milk? They’ll have a tent set up for you for the weekend and you can even book in bedding, lights and extras so you won’t have to haul it in with you.
There’s a free shuttle bus for campers that will run from the train station, through town and out to the campsite from Friday though to Sunday as well.

If you’ve got your own tent set up, you can grab a site at Eureka Stockade, BIG4 Goldfields or BIG4 Windmill in Ballarat. They’ve also got cabins and a bunch of other accommodation options to scout.

The Western Hotel is your best bet for budget backpacker accommodation. It’s a 15-minute walk from Ballarat CBD and a 20 minute walk to Victoria Park.
The Eastern Hotel Accommodation is a good budget option on the far side of the CBD. It’s a little further to Spilt Milk, but super close to public transport which can take you straight to Victoria Park.
