Getting To Spilt Milk

Spilt Milk

You know how to get to Ballarat, but how are you getting to Spilt Milk on the day? Here are our top eight ways to get yourself to the festival gates!

Free shuttle buses

Free shuttle services will be running to Spilt Milk from the town centre, picking up from Mair St via Coffee Palace Lane.

Uber

There is an extensive Uber network in Ballarat that works off their universal app you can use to get to Spilt Milk. Your driver will drop you at the drop off zone on Sturt street, at the top of Victoria park, across from the Spilt Milk entry

Haven’t got the app? Download it for free here.

Regional Buses

Wanna sleep in your own bed at the end of the day? Melbourne on the Move will have buses to get you to Ballarat and back on event day. Your ticket guarantees a return seat & takes the stress out of trying to get home at the end of the night. Read more about them here.

Local Buses

Local bus services will also be running on the day. Bus Route 26 runs through town and stops at the top of Victoria Park on Sturt St. If you are coming from Federation Uni, bus routes 21 and 22  will pick you up and take you to Ballarat station where you can meet the shuttle. From other Ballarat accommodation, look for the nearest bus routes to the shuttle at Ballarat Station or Bus route 26 to get to Victoria Park.

From Wendouree station, the 10 will take you to the top of Victoria Park in front of Ballarat Highschool on Sturt St.

Get a Lift

Have you convinced someone to drop you off? Firstly, you owe them. Secondly, get them to drop you off at the drop-off/pick up zone on Sturt Street to make for smooth drive by.

Drive & Park

If you’ve sourced yourself a deso for the day, there is a dedicated parking lot next to the festival just off of Gillies St. Parking requires a pre-purchased car or bus pass which you can buy here.

Ride a Bike

Save the planet and ride your two-wheeler to Spilt Milk, but don’t expect to ride home if you’ve had a few brews (drunk riding is as illegal as drunk driving and you can get into a serious pickle).

Book a Taxi

Ask your driver to follow the signage drop you off at the drop off zone on Sturt Street and you’ll be able to walk down to the Spilt Milk entry from there.

Take a Walk

If you want to warm up your legs, or save some money to spend on merch later, you can walk to Victoria Park. It’ll take less than 40 minutes on foot from Wendouree Station and Ballarat Central

Day Trip to Ballarat

If you’re coming from out of town on the day, check out our Ballarat day trip guide here.

The area surrounding Victoria Park, including the drop off zones and bus stops, ARE completely alcohol-free, so don’t bring those roadies with you.
